This is the right take.
And I think the NBA has a real issue with some of the players, some of the time, just not playing basketball games.
And I am not the first one to say that.
But Markkinen might be the face of this.
And even if you're saying, hey, this right now, what we're seeing right now isn't a good example of that effect.
It has been too long.
Like this guy's almost a huge chunk of his prime has been spent in a basketball environment that's not trying its best to win basketball games.
That's not great.
And I should say there's only one team with a better offense in the last 15 games than the Charlotte Hornets, Zach Lowe.
It's whoever's playing the Utah Jazz.
This defense is giving up more points per possession than any of the great offenses are scoring.
