When that draft happened, every nerd in the NBA who does a draft model and looks at this stuff pretty deeply was like, Reed Shepard, he's going to be very, very good at basketball.

Ime Adok obviously didn't trust him.

I think he had four DNPs in the Golden State Series.

He's forced into a position I don't think he's ready for.

I think shooting is one, but I'll paraphrase the sports guy himself with the biggest question there for me is De'Aaron Fox, are we sure he's good?

Because they just went all in on this guy.

And

I'm not sure it's going to work.

I'm not saying it won't work.

I'm just saying the biggest question there is De'Aaron Fox finally the piece that's going to bring a healthy offense to San Antonio because Victor Wimbanyama is immediately going to make that team a very good defense starting this year.

Last year when he was on the court, Bill, they had the third best defense in the NBA according to the defensive rating when he was on the floor.

When he was off the floor, they went to 28th.

The problem is going to be on offense.

And anybody who's watched Wemby play knows that that's a huge growth area for him as an individual.

He could really use a veteran point guard.

Chris Paul was big there last year, but De'Aaron Fox could be bigger.

He's younger and faster.

So the big question for me, eager to hear what you say, Bill, can De'Aaron Fox really fix that offense?
