NBA teams are averaging 117 points per game.
Those are crazy numbers up from last year, but definitely up from anywhere this century.

So in general, when you look at it long term, the shot selection revolution is the biggest reason just every possession is more efficient.
But when we look at just what's happened since last year and we have like a three and a half, four point a game scoring uptick, unfortunately, the biggest thing is fouls and free throws.
