A star of the Avatar movie franchise is now the highest-grossing actor of all time.

As NPR's Netta Ulibi reports, Zoe Saldana's movies have collectively grossed more than $15 billion.

Venus Williams made history this weekend as the oldest woman to compete in an Australian Open singles main draw.

She is 45.

Williams was 17 when she first competed in the tournament.

This weekend, she led 4-0 in the third set before losing.

Williams will compete in doubles.

Portugal's presidential election will go to a runoff.

Antonio José Seguro, the former head of the country's Socialist Party, will face far-right leader Andre Ventura, who placed second.

Portugal's president is a largely ceremonial role, but does have key powers.

The runoff is on February 8.
