Britain's prime minister says he does not plan to impose retaliatory tariffs on the U.S.

in response to President Trump's threats to impose tariffs on goods imported from eight European countries that are opposed to Trump's desire to acquire Greenland.

The Prime Minister of Norway told a Norwegian newspaper that President Trump has sent him a letter concerning Greenland.

PBS first reported the story and posted the text on X. It reads in part, Considering your country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight wars plus, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace.

Trump ends the letter with, The world is not secure unless we have complete and total control over Greenland.
