You put it in the fridge, probably last two weeks. So there could be something to be said about that, too. So, you know, I would say anything that has a huge amount of ingredients would be a place where I would say, let's let's let's rethink this. Could we have a better alternative here?

Yeah, so I think number one big picture is they're all real foods. And so that would be kind of like my high-level advice to people. If we just eat more real food, you know, Michael Pollan defined food as something that comes from nature, is fed from nature, and will eventually rot. And I think that's one of the best definitions of food that I have ever heard.

You know, if you look at food from that perspective, it's very easy on how you choose things like plants. And it becomes easier on how you choose things like animal protein. So comes from nature, fed from nature, for example, you want to go with a cow that is eating from grass versus grain, okay? Because that's not feeding from nature if they're eating grain. So just an example of that one.

So this is all real food. And then the other thing I would say is it also has foods that I don't know if I'd go into the detail of saying are controversial, but foods that I think patients say to me, well, gosh, I can never have chocolate again. I can never have coffee again. Right. without really having the data associated with it. So I think that's kind of big picture, right?

If these 12 foods don't speak to you, choose 12 foods that are real, and you'll probably be in just as good of a scenario.

I cannot tell you, Drew, how many studies are out there looking at specifically fatty liver disease and coffee consumption. Coffee consumption has been associated with a lower risk of fibrosis, reversal of fibrosis. Fibrosis is the inflammatory inflammation that occurs when we get into those latter stages of liver disease. And coffee is probably good for a few reasons.

When you look at the studies... There is some assumption that it has a lot to do with the bean, but it could have something to do with the caffeine as well. So the studies are positive, both in caffeinated coffee and decaf, number one. We know that there's a lot of bioactive compounds within the coffee bean.
