You know, I always tell my patients, if you do one thing today to improve your dietary pattern, choose the deepest hued compound. Plants, right? So the plants that have the most color have the most benefit. So in theory, a red delicious apple will be slightly better for you than a yellow delicious apple, okay? Because it's got much deeper hue.

It's why we see all these great studies on berries, things like that. It's hard to get deeper hue than a coffee bean. And it's controversial because I always get people saying, well, coffee will increase your cortisol and that increases glucose and all these bad things about coffee. You know, we have a gene called the CYP1A2. So CYP1A2.

And we know that that gene really kind of puts people into one of two camps. You're a fast metabolizer of caffeine or you're a slow metabolizer. Slow metabolizers of caffeine should not have that much caffeinated coffee. The data is very clear. It increases the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, etc.

But if you tolerate caffeine, then the studies are pretty clear that having four or more cups a day can be very beneficial specifically to overall liver health. It's what we put in coffee that really ruins it. So that's that.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and even if like you're going to your coffee house, just ask for a black coffee with half and half. Right. So that's like a very it's actually cheaper. So, number one, it will be so much cheaper than the specialty drink. And it's probably a lot better for you if you have to have the sweetness. Then I would usually add in a stevia. Most coffee houses don't have allulose.

Otherwise, I would go with allulose over stevia in terms of how to sweeten. So, you know, even raw honey can be another great example as well. But, you know, that's kind of like changing our diet. our coffee order to your point makes a huge difference. Like you go to these coffee houses, you're just ordering dessert.

Like if you're craving cake, you should get the cake that you're looking at because there's really not going to be a huge difference between the amount of sugar and what you're getting in the coffee. So just a lot of benefit, a lot of benefit on that one. Mention, let me just back up and say that I've made connections to the heart, to the brain, to the liver.
