You know, I think sometimes when I think about what my patients come to me with, it oftentimes is fatigue. And like I always say, who doesn't have fatigue? So fatigue can mask a lot of different other conditions.

And it's only after they go see their physician that they find out maybe their liver enzymes are elevated, things like that, that we might start to pinpoint it. And I think the reason for that, and Dr. Hananay can talk a lot better to this point, is that really the liver is so resilient.
But a lot of times people will come to me and say, I'm just really feeling down. I'm really feeling not myself. And it's only after they go see their physician that they find out maybe their liver enzymes are elevated, things like that, that we might start to pinpoint it. You can go a long time without feeling some of the more aggressive approaches to it. I'm feeling this and I must have fatty liver.
