The DOW didn't kick out Anthropic forever.

They invited Anthropic back when they launched the Mythos model.

They even continue to use mythos in high-stakes military ops.

But in any case, I think you're right.

The precedent of the government being able to come in and say, this is too dangerous, we need to not do this, is positive.

The precedent of the government picking and choosing among their favorite oligarchs who is allowed to pursue this level of risk is a real problem and a real failing of what we've got going on right now.

Zooming out,

You mentioned the fact that Anthropic called for this global pause in AI development.

And you're right to flag the potential self-interested motives there of Anthropic feeling like they've got a lead, and then that would allow them for some time to lock in that lead.

I think you have to look at that.
