I bought a house with my sister in 2020, but I would really like to have my own place.
My question is, how would it affect me or my sister tax-wise for me to be on two mortgages?
It certainly wouldn't make any sense for my sister to refinance just to remove my name.
So I'll stay on the mortgage even though I wouldn't be living in this house.
I'm just not sure if this will affect things in ways I don't know about.
Is there anything I should be aware of?
