They can have a chance to fall.
They can have a chance to fail.
And then...
Once you're like, oh, okay, we're working the kinks out.
Now it's got its legs under it.
Now it's starting to grow up a little bit.
Okay, it can survive some criticism now.
So now let's criticize it.
Now let's go, okay, cool.
Where are the holes in this thing?
How do we make this thing stronger?
What can we do?
And so in the beginning, you got to bodyguard those ideas until they have enough strength to withstand the criticism.
Otherwise, you're going to wipe a lot of great ideas off the table.
Everyone probably on earth has had an idea that had a lot of potential and seemed so promising.
And then they made the mistake of showing the wrong person too early.
And that person laughed and they went, and that little just blew that idea out the window.
To prevent that, you've got to give the idea a second to figure out what it's going to be, to be wrong, to be messy, to be inefficient or whatever.
And then go, okay, we've done this a little while.
We've given it a bodyguard.
