It is very tribal and it's something I've experienced covering it, which, you know, the side that's building it increasingly is saying, listen, we are building something that is going to transform the world. It is going to, as one CEO put it, it could spread democracy, it could cure diseases, etc. not just like diseases, but PTSD and anxiety, really nebulous things.

They truly believe this and they are pushing hard on this narrative, whereas a whole other side is saying that this is all a scam and that they shouldn't be trusted. So both sides seem to be completely gnawing at each other.

Definitely. And I am really sympathetic to both sides. I was just listening to another podcast about tribalism, which is why it's at the front of my mind, which is both sides want the same thing, which is for the betterment of humanity. And one side thinks that AI is going to make humanity worse. And one side thinks it's going to be made better.
