Nineteen Buddhist monks have completed a 108-day walk for peace from Texas to Washington, D.C.
They walked into the nation's capital this morning, single file.
They were followed by large crowds, on-site and online, where messages of peace were posted from around the globe.
On their way to the Capitol Hill, the monks accompanied by their peace dog were greeted with flowers, cheers, and quiet smiles as they made stops yesterday as well at American University and the Washington National Cathedral for an interfaith conversation with the public.
