No, look, there was, I had hope that we might see some serious reforms in this budget.

There's clearly the need for that.

I hoped that maybe the message about needing to fund frontline support services for women escaping violence might have finally landed with government and they might have put some more dollars into that.

Sadly, absolutely nothing on that.

A little bit of something for child support, which is welcome, but it's tiny.

I had hoped that maybe with Donald Trump being so frighteningly insane that we might start to extricate ourselves, but no, $53 billion of extra money to buy weapons and to fuel the war machine that's largely at the whim of Donald Trump.

And I had hoped that in a deep housing crisis where it's clear that renters are getting absolutely screwed and no one can afford to buy their first home,

I had hoped that property investors might finally have their tax perks, their unfair tax perks removed so that young people might have a chance.

And the government said, yeah, we're going to change some of those things.

But actually, when you look at it, what they've done is just say that everyone who's already got those tax perks can keep them.

Yes.

But no one new can have them.

So it's the opposite.

And now they're trying to sell that as some kind of equity measure.

And we're like, what?
