I got Louis Walsh to be a judge.

I got Simon Cowell to be the record company.

You know, this is a show that's made for somebody with a background in the music business.

And went up and doorstepped Des Monaghan, who was the producer from Australia, who was owning the rights to the show, and said, with a name like Monaghan, there must be a bit of Irish there.

And he said, my mother's from Cork, my father's from Dublin, let's go and have a coffee.

Absolutely, always.

No, but I knew Louis.

And when I first rang him,

He said, ring me tomorrow.

And then I rang him again.

And then, you know, typical Louis said, you don't have the rights and them all have the rights.

They asked me to do that show.

And then them all had a different show.

And they were talking to Louis about a different show.

But eventually when we sat down and to be fair to Louis, he was full on.

Let's do this.

And, you know, he had a plan himself.

So it really was something we sat down and without Louis, I don't, I'm not sure that show would have been the success it was.
