the whole system again but I don't know whether the quality of players that are coming through at the present moment are up to the intensity of especially what's happening to Munster anyway because that's Eton hurling up and in Leinster Kilkenny are not in a great position either Galway
are probably, they are above us at the moment.
Dublin are above us, Kilkenny and Galway, because I think Dublin could go on to win the Leinster final.
So, yeah, we're in the third or fourth place at the moment.
We played quite well in some of the games this year, but we ran out of steam.
We probably ran out of legs.
And I think we ran out of thoughts and ideas on how to win again.
We're back to the old ways of working, maybe in the early 90s.
where we don't believe in ourselves we don't believe we're good enough to win you know and as I said the youngsters that are coming through have no major victories under their belt in terms of minor or under 21 so this year we done okay we lost the Galway in the under 21 they got beaten by Clare in the All-Ireland final the minors lost out to Cork a couple of weeks ago by three points Cork now we're in a great position to go on to win the minor All-Ireland so we have some bright sparks coming through but
But will it be enough to get up to the levels to be back in number one position at Leinster?
I think there's a lot, a lot of work to be done, to be quite honest.
Yeah, it's a great honour to be quite honest.
I was asked this a number of years ago to be the ambassador for us and I was probably delighted to do it.
It's a great thing to happen.
We talk about the volunteers in this world today, but the GAA volunteer himself is something special in every club, whether it's a big club or a small club within Leinster.
It's the unsung hero really that goes out and
does everything for the club and don't ask for anything in return you know the great character themselves I spoke about the great characters that we have within our own club but there's certainly great characters in every club out there so you know I always said is that man a sort of
you know, that does the hard work for the club, the guy that maybe puts toilet roll into the toilets, the fella that cleans out the dress rooms, the fella that marks the pitches, the guy that put out the flags and organises everything within the club or whatever, the guy that just gets a pat on the back, you know, but he's probably doing more work than most people in the club.
You know, as I said, there's loads of people out there to do that, but it's a great incentive for anyone out there, so they should check out the
the BCO champion, you know, as I said, there's plenty of heroes out there.
