Because you're already starting in such a good place. But if you start neutral, it's hard.

I'm very lucky in that because I've never been an unhappy person. I've been troubled by things. And I've always felt happiness is a choice, something you can choose to do.

I have nothing to complain about. I've had ups and downs like everybody else, but I'm very grateful for the life that I've had. The two best things that come out of my life are my kids. I love them very much and they love me.

At Diversity Today, our philosophy is about honesty and positive expectations. We believe that 99% of the problems in the workplace arise simply out of ignorance. You know what? This is a color-free zone here. Stanley, I don't look at you as another race. See, this is what I'm talking about. We don't have to pretend that we're colorblind. Exactly. That's fighting ignorance with more ignorance.
