I'm so happy this thing happened. Or I'm glad it was this instead of that. I'm happy to have this. I have my health. All those things that old school people used to do all the time, it's really helpful. And if you start with that, then you have room for the negative stuff that's going to come. Because you're already starting in such a good place. But if you start neutral, it's hard.

Because the negative stuff is going to come. And you're not trying to convince yourself or anything. You're just saying the obvious about something. Of course. Of course you're happy for this and that sort of thing. So that's what I try to start with in my life. Sometimes it's not that explicit, but it's my point of view of things.

I'm very lucky in that because I've never been an unhappy person. I've been troubled by things. And I've always felt happiness is a choice, something you can choose to do.

I have nothing to complain about. I've had ups and downs like everybody else, but I'm very grateful for the life that I've had. The two best things that come out of my life are my kids. I love them very much and they love me.
