So, yeah, do date a fan.

But in that moment, it just felt so unearned because it was just like, oh, she's hot and I'm instantly in love with her.

And I was like, God, I was like, Brett Goldstein, as a writer, give us a bit of foreplay.

Give us something.

Don't just dive straight in.

There's no build-up.

There's no watching you fall in love.

There's no, like, there's no yearn.

There's no slow burn.

He wasn't, he obviously wasn't properly, I know he falls in love with her later, but I was like, you just think she's hot.

There's literally no acting happening in that scene.

And so I liked it as a storytelling device.

I'm like, okay, obviously now we're, like, we're super in this man's head over heels in love with a hot woman that he can't date in his office.

But from a rom-com sense, you know, I take rom-coms very seriously.

From a rom-com sense, I just needed a better build-up.

But then, of course, we get he's defending her in their first, like, litigation against Roger Bart, friend of the pod.
