The genre matters and viewers of a documentary do not expect manufactured drama or constructed narratives.

They expect facts because they were promised a documentary that is exactly how viewers interacted with the Netflix series.

It then goes on to say that Tyra Banks said they used just 16 minutes of her interview, so she sat down for three and a half hours and 16 minutes were used.

Mm.

And that the clips used of her were stripped of context and reassembled to support a false and defamatory narrative against what she actually expressed.

And that she took accountability for the most controversial moments from the original TV series, but these moments where she took accountability were edited out of the series.

Yeah, it's very different lore in the US to Australia, which I think is always interesting context to have because it's like, I always think, for example, like Rebel Wilson's book, you can buy, if you buy her book in another country, all the pages are there.

Yeah.

If you buy that book in Australia, there are pages that are literally blacked out.

Yeah.

And that's because there's, yeah, defamation is very different here.

So, yeah, that's super interesting as well.

I will say, like, for anyone who hasn't watched the Next Top Model documentary, it's definitely worth watching if you didn't watch the series because it is very interesting.

But, yeah, it was, there are some documentaries where they come out, you're like, oh, this is a nice look back, but I didn't learn anything.

Whereas I felt I learned so much later.

Or at least I learned so much from what the producers are saying, just going by what Tyra is saying here.

There was a lot of new information there for viewers.

So they had a lot of contestants from the past shows that came in and talked about their experience, things that had happened to them.

There were allegations of fat shaming.

There was contestants that came in and talked about, because a big thing on the show was like the makeover scene.
