Trump really looked backwards.

He, you know, touted the economy.

He touted his tax cuts.

But he didn't really give the party something to seize on going forward.

There are some questions just about the size and scope of this project, just because it would be the biggest energy project of its kind.

There are also two other projects.

One is a crude export facility in the Gulf of Mexico off the Texas coast, as well as a project that would produce synthetic diamonds.

Those are used in the manufacturing of semiconductors, energy and automobiles as well.

The kind of the underpinning of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship is this military relationship.

The U.S.

is Taiwan's main military backer, and Taiwan is worried that if the U.S.

is no longer as dependent on Taiwan, that that could change the balance of that relationship.

However, a win for Taiwan here is they did get this agreement finalized before Trump's scheduled meeting to go to meet with Xi Jinping.

In April, this was a concern that, you know, if this deal was still out and really open for negotiation, that, you know, Xi Jinping could get Trump to back down on some of these key things that the Taiwanese want.
