Optical brighteners are also called OBs.
They basically put a layer onto the fabric that plays with UV light and it makes fabrics appear bluer to the human eye.
But over time they go grey.
Do you ever have a white t-shirt and you're like, that's literally grey after like six washes?
Every white t-shirt I've ever owned.
Turn your fabric, your detergent around and you will see the words optical brightener on the label.
Try and buy one with no optical brightener.
My problem with them is, you know, when you look at a pod, usually the purple, you know, there's a dark purple.
It looks almost like petrally in the middle.
So how pods are usually designed is each part of the plastic is less dissolvable in water.
So that's how one breaks down in one part of the wash.
Usually it's not the full pod.
It's usually one little bit at the end.
It's usually sometimes the optical brightener or the fabric softener, but you can't choose what's going on your clothes with the pod.
They're way more expensive.
You can't opt for a lot of cooler temperatures.
