I've actually done a video on how to buy a steamer because there's so much in it.
Like the water tank, should you have a metal plate at the top?
Should you have certain holes for like how much steam should be coming out?
There's an actual flow rate for steam that people are, you know, when you see seasonal colored steamers and they're like, this is the next steamer and everyone's buying it because it's a lipstick pink or whatever steamer.
Or it's like a mint green.
They usually will have a crap flow rate because they know you're buying it for color.
So it kind of ticks those boxes.
And I think it's on my website.
It's all how to buy it.
But basically, if you have a metal plate and the fabric can take it, so it's not a silk, it's not like a kind of a poly satin that's quite weak.
Always test a little bit.
But you can press it against it if you need it.
You only need to press really against like shirting and something tailored like a collar.
But if you're doing something for a night out and it's quite flowy, I don't think I own anything flowy.
So I don't tend to do this a lot.
A lot of time it's just allowing the steam to kind of billow through the fabric.
But I will say having a steam blanket and a steam hanger for me, it was like it changed everything in the way I steam because I can put a shirt on and really press against it.
I'm able to steam jackets, coats, all of that, dresses.
