She asked her about, because during the campaign, Michelle got, and they kind of played a video at the start around all of the horrible things the media said about her.
And that's politics, right?
They really, they were calling her like this scary, like overpowering woman, like blah, blah, blah.
Anyway, and so what Michelle said that's very important to her, and if you, I'm sure, I mean, a lot of people would experience this, but going through a political campaign and having like literally hate campaigns created about you so you're, in her case, her partner, her husband got less votes, would be quite overwhelming.
And I think it would be very, very, very hard if a thousand people on the internet or more, in her case, probably millions of people on the internet were saying that she was wrong, all of these bad things about her.
It's actually would become quite difficult to block that out and not believe them, right?
And so she said what she's always done that's so important is to define herself faster than other people would define her.
And that to me was such a good reminder of how important that is.
Because I think so often, especially when we are feeling low in confidence, and if you are listening right now and you are having a low confidence part of your journey, which we all have and that is completely normal.
Mm-hmm.
That is when we are at the most vulnerable of letting other people define us because we, in that point, I find personally when I'm low confidence, I try and get validation from others.
I need other people to like say my work is good or say nice things about me.
Otherwise, I don't feel like I am good enough.
But that is at such, it's such a detriment to ourselves because it is our job to define like our story and ourselves before other people do.
And define you.
And then you get to make it up.
Like why are we letting random people that we come into interaction with like define who we are when they don't know us, we do.
