Three paintings by the three famous French artists, estimated at $10 million in total value, were stolen from a museum in northern Italy last week, but officials are just now revealing the details.
The Carbonieri police said in a statement today that the theft took place at the Fondazione Magnani Roca during the night of March 22nd.
As Reuters notes, the thieves broke into the building's main entrance and took CΓ©zanne's painting of a cup and plate of cherries, Renoir's La Poisson, and Matisse's Odalisque.
The museum says the theft took less than three minutes.
This edition will mark the first time a sitting president's name will appear on U.S.
paper currency.
The redesign, tied to the 250th anniversary of American independence, will also remove the U.S.
treasurer's signature for the first time since federal paper money debuted in 1861.
Treasury officials said the overall look of the bill will stay the same, aside from the signature change, and the new notes could take several weeks to reach banks, while older bills bearing the signatures of Janet Yellen and former Treasurer Lynn Malerba remain in production.
The current treasurer, Brandon Beach, issued a statement of support for this move, calling Trump the architect of a, quote, golden age economic revival.
