And the city of Chicago has had a lot of great broadcasters and specifically terrific commentators.
We just had one on in Jim Deshaies.
I mean, Eddie Olchek is one of the best ever.
This to whether you like hockey or not.
He made you like hockey.
But Stacey King stands right up there and was certainly unique because nobody, nobody combined personality and analysis as great as Stacey King did.
Yeah, I'm going to take it one step further.
That is a big list to be on when you talk about the best in Chicago to ever do it.
But he was one of the best in basketball to do it.
As far as just being a color commentator in the NBA, you look around from market to market.
He was always recognized as one of the best.
It's the personality that I believe separated him from a lot of other people who do the same thing he does.
His personality.
Real excellence in his craft came from that blend, that perfect sweet spot of, yes, I'm going to tell you what happened, what needs to happen, but I'm also going to make you laugh along the way and feel good about watching this game.
And that's whether the game was necessarily going your team's way or not.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, he sort of set the tempo for Bulls fans with all the stuff that he would say.
And it was like from a genuine place and really like no other.
