So it feels like a solid time to rank the NBA's contenders and maybe decide who's a pretender out of the contenders.

So for this exercise, we're going to consider any team in the top six in either conference right now a potential contender.

And because this idea was entirely inspired by the Bounce newsletter, we're going to use Zach Harper's very own DDT scoring system.

That's what Zach Harper came up with.

We loved it.

So one siren for said team, that basically means they're a pretender in your eyes.

Like you don't really believe they're going to make any real noise in the playoffs.

Five sirens.

That's a legit bona fide title contender.

Makes sense, right?

All right.

I did switch up Zach's rankings a little bit.

I thought he had some teams maybe a little higher than I had or a little lower.

So for the most part, they're pretty similar.
