every day really every day every day yeah i love my dad yeah yeah i wish i knew him better what was the last time you had with him do you remember yeah um the last time i had with him was when he was dying he was dying and and he got sick he he retired at 62 from his professorship he wasn't happy he wasn't happy 62. yeah exactly when's your birthday uh may 21st i'll be 62. so he died at this age

No, no, he retired at this age.

He got sick at 64.

Okay.

And the doctor gave him 15 to 20 years to live and he died in two.

And he was a biostatistician.

And so I said, oh man, that's lousy.

And he says, yeah, but somebody's got to be on the left side of the curve.

Biostat, biostat till the end.

buy us that till the end gosh and and uh and i i would i was living in syracuse at the time i was teaching at syracuse university at the time and i would go back every few weeks and i got closer to my brother during those years and um and my mom was really sick i mean she was really sick and so she couldn't and um

And we talked a lot during that period.

And it was funny because he had, I think, a kind of a spiritual awakening during that time too.

He was a serious Christian guy, but I think that he drew closer to God as well.

And he was worried.

He was worried about my mom.

He was worried, worried.
