if you're raising children and your highest value is being a mother, if you ask her, who are you?
She'll say, I'm a mother.
If you go to a person who's a serial entrepreneur and ask him, even though he's got three or four kids, you ask him, who are you?
He's not going to say, I'm a father.
He's going to say, I'm an entrepreneur.
Because whatever's highest on one's value, their ontological identity revolves around, their teleological purpose revolves around, and their epistemological area of expertise excels there.
So that's where they're most powerful.
So finding that out and delegating anything else that devalues you is what I set out to do at age 27.
And within 18 months, I pretty well gave it all away.
And I basically teach, research, write, and travel.
That's about it.

I'm pretty useless outside that.
Technology I delegate, business administration.
I just teach research, write, travel pretty well every day.
I wouldn't change anything back there.
But I would say that I was very grateful to go through a few intermediate steps to get feedback on how important it is not to try to be second at being somebody else and not try to worry about whether people like or dislike you.
