We were time traveling five years into Lewis House.
Imagining the world.
Exactly.
And then we come back to the present and say, which one of the paths do we want to take?
That's time travel.
It's amazing how that works.
We also can think about me looking out or me looking in to understand myself.
William James said, the more time you spend in the me self looking in, the less happy you're going to be.
And the more of the time that you spend in the I self, you need both because you got to know what you're doing in the world and what's going on, but you also have to understand your place in the world.
So you need both.
The problem is that Mother Nature wants you to think me, me, me, me, me.
Happiness comes by looking out at the world.
I had this really interesting experience with this guy who did physical therapy for me because my back hurts a lot.
That's wear and tear, man.
That's like, kids, when you're 61, you'll understand.
But he's a beautiful person and he's a loving person.
Physical therapists are funny because if you notice that the best ones, they're full of love.
Sure.
And that's their actual super strength.
They want to know you.
