Well, if it is, right, nothing right now to suggest.
that I can push back on you.
That will be a decision that Welsh makes almost entirely.
I don't think they'll go through a process to have, you know, and this is what Ken Hinckley and Adam Simpson spoke about, of course, earlier in the week where they were like, well, hang on.
If it's going to be Hurd and it's going to be the, then make that decision and then away he goes.
And we're not going to throw a hat into the ring and then go through a process that ultimately ends with James Hurd.
So if that is the way they're going, JJ, and it's hard to disagree with,
so much of what we've heard or the feeling from the last three or four days.
I think because that will be a decision where Andrew Welsh just says, hey, I'm making this decision.
Here it is.
If they go down a different path and there's a process-driven thing, then you would think that it's going to be someone outside of Essendon, or at least not James Heard.
Well, if they want James Heard, why do a process?
Exactly.
Not a great deal.
It's interesting that once there's another... Flavour of the month is the wrong wording, but once there's something else more topical and more recent to talk about, that kind of gets pushed.
So the Carlton situation, which is absolutely as open as Essendon, or even more so, really, because James Hurd doesn't exist in that aspect, then all of a sudden we're like, well, hang on a second.
The newer, younger coaches, and Adam Simpson has ruled himself out.
He's part of the board to select a new Carlton coach.
But, you know, the Hinkley, the Longmires of the world, if they're interested, they are probably a lot more likely to put their hand up and go through that process than Essendon's.
But, yeah, we haven't heard a great deal.
