Well, he was the hereditary chosen one.

That was intentional from Sen.

Yes.

One of their big inspirations was the unwritten stories in history and so particularly looking at Soviet women in World War II.

And I think their approach to The Chosen One is looking at, like, it's The Chosen One's stories who gets told.

It's the, like, male leaders' stories who gets told.

And so that is – it's a, like, fresh fantasy take on this issue that –

real-world issue that we all face in our history and also one of the big inspirations for Malcolmized.

Can you tell us more about what you know about that inspiration?

Yeah, so I know it specifically came from a particular book that Sen read.

And I remembered the name of the book right up until I walked into this room and now it's gone.

But, yeah, so Helena's... I suppose what Helena goes through in this is heavily based on the experiences of Soviet women in World War II.

And so there were...

It parallels with my family history, but I don't know the full details.

It's something I haven't personally wanted to delve too much into.

But there were Ukrainian women who were taken.

I'm thinking Ukrainian because that was my family, but Soviet women who were taken by Nazi officers in a very similar sort of way to Helena.

And so I think this was the story that Helena, or that Sen was particularly taken by in terms of

retelling that.

But in general, the women in World War II, their stories aren't told.
