But like we keep saying, she might also have some fair reasons to be a little suspicious of you and to want to protect her daughter and who also might be confused sometimes about the best way to do that. I know I'm being very charitable here, but I am giving her the benefit of the doubt because I have to imagine that her job has not always been easy.

The other sysadmins and I are supposed to work as a team on various projects, but there's very little teamwork because the office is largely run by a clique consisting of the team lead and a couple of his buddies. while the rest of us have to figure things out on our own. Meanwhile, our boss works almost exclusively from home and seems like he couldn't care less about the day-to-day.
