The China Australia Writing Centre was set up with Fudan University.
Which is in Shanghai?
Which is in Shanghai, and I'm at Curtin University in Western Australia.
It was set up with the idea of bringing Australian and Chinese writers together to talk about
writing, the process of translation, the different ways that writers are affected by living in different countries and very different cultures, and really to get some dialogue going, and particularly dialogue around the teaching of writing and also translation.
So we bring some Chinese writers and some Australian writers together, talk about their books, about what they feel about translation, those sorts of things.

And they never met face to face and they're the last four survivors.
So they are meeting face to face for the first time, which is somewhat confronting for all of them.
