No, I thought it was โ I thought it needed more work.
What I loved most recently is Julian Barnes, The Only Story.
I'm a huge Julian Barnes fan.
And, of course, this is my era.
I'm about the same age as him and I'm older than Rick Joukowsky.
But I just love this book, which is about a love affair between a young man and an older woman and the very sad progress that that takes over the course of their lifetimes.
It's quite a hard read emotionally, I found.
That was what I've recently read.
And I'm currently reading a wonderful book called After the Party by Cressida Connolly, who's an English writer.
And it's about the women who were part of Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists during the war.
And the historical detail is terrific.
And it's also set in East Sussex, which is where I grew up as a child after the war.
The interesting part is not only that the characters are very vibrant, very real, but also the detail about how Moseley was getting people together and particularly involving women in his movement in the British Union.
