When Joe posed the question, this probably isn't as great as the Penguins season this year, but the 1989 Steelers, I remember they were... There's a good one.
Yeah, Bubby Brister, Merrill Hodge, Chuck Knoll.
We needed the Bengals to lose at the L.A.
Raiders, and it didn't look like that was going to happen, and everything fell into place.
We went down and played Jerry Glanville in Houston.
And Hodge had a heck of a game over 100 yards.
I was 15 years old, but I still remember that.
And it's still to this day.
But I don't think it's probably as great as the Penguins this year.
Hello, Lou.
Hey, Joe, Bob, how are you guys doing?
I didn't get a chance to call on yesterday, so I'll give you my opinion on the press conference, and then it's so funny you mentioned the guy Swartz because I was just going to mention him.
The defensive coordinator, you need an alpha, aggressive, somebody who can coach the defense with full autonomy, which we have not had, right, under Mike Tomlin.
So give me...
Swartz, Wink Martindale.
I mean, I wouldn't hire him, but somebody like a Rex Ryan, Spagnuolo, somebody like that I think would be perfect and let McCarthy do his thing on one side of the ball and let this man run the defense.
That's the first thing.
As far as the press conference yesterday, I'm going to be honest.
I wasn't happy with the hire.
I love the guy's emotion.
