Okay, we need to talk about an enormous loss in the context of music.
And I'm talking about Manny from the Stone Roses who died this week.
The Oasis tour just ended everybody's heartbroken and they've been very kind of ambiguous about whether or not they'll be together again or what's going to happen but I think loads of people were just happy to see Liam and Noel give each other a big hug at the end of it you know but yeah Liam I know had tweeted about just you know how important Manny was to him and how much he looked up to him and
I have this memory of Manny because he played a gig in Galway in 2004 when I lived there.
And I don't know how I ended up in the same place as him, but it makes sense for my life at that time, to be honest.
And I remember he was just walking around, just like grabbing girls' faces and smooching them, which now sounds horrifying.
And it was kind of horrifying, but also kind of thrilling at the time.
You know, it's complicated.
Now, would I enjoy it?
