But
These conversations that happen on these shows about race dynamics, I think are so important.
Because, you know, I think Summer House has been quite a white show.
There was a version of Summer House called Summer House Martha's Vineyard, which featured an all black cast.
But that's gone now.
And I think it's really great that they, I mean, first of all, I think they nailed the new additions to the cast of Summer House this year.
I think that
Mia and KJ are great like they really fit into the group well I really like Levi and um oh my god why is her name gone I don't hit Bailey I don't know why we're not really getting Levi it's weird that we're not getting testimonials and stuff which makes me feel like they're not really gonna um bring her back next year but anyway
And I think what's been really nice is seeing Mia and KJ and Sierra chat together and seeing their comfort with each other, you know, as three black friends.
And then the fact that they were brave enough to kind of talk about the fact that, you know, being black on a on a show with like a mostly white cast was.
does result in tension and negative feedback for them in terms of social media and stuff.
And just dynamics that we wouldn't know about if they didn't talk about them.
And I think that it's really good that they've been doing that.
Andy Cohen's other guest on Watch What Happens Live this week was a political commentator who is black.
And she was talking about how important that race conversation was.
and you know West talked about the fact that their crew is really diverse and that that lent itself to the cast feeling safe to have these kinds of conversations and I just think it's great and it's you know people like to disrespect reality TV but it's one of the reasons that I think it's really valuable is because we do get these kinds of conversations that if you are a white person living your white life with all your white friends you're never going to hear these experiences and I think it's really important that we do hear about these experiences and about minority experiences across the board.
Okay, let's quickly dip in on Southern Charm.
Southern Charm has ended.
It's wrapped up.
I watched the second part of the reunion this morning.
