Yeah, yeah.
I thought it was interesting that AP announced this week, that's the Associated Press or one of one of the world's leading news agencies, certainly one of America's leading news agencies.
said that it's calling Israel's attack on Lebanon an invasion and that is remarkable in the context of everything that's happened with Israel in recent times because there has always been this pretense almost that you know what they're doing is defending themselves when it's been very clear to many people that actually we're looking at invasion we're looking at a takeover essentially so that feels relatively significant in the narrative what do you think?
Yeah, yeah, okay.
All right, well, look, we'll obviously come back to this, hopefully not immediately after the episode, as we did last week.
We have a lot of internet things to talk about this week.
I feel like there's definitely a more eloquent way of phrasing that, but we have a lot of stories related to the internet to discuss this week.
Jeez Louise.
And I want to start with this one, which is that the European Parliament has voted to ban nudification apps.
And seems like yes, of course, this should be what's happening.
But it hasn't been the case so far that there's been any issue with these notification apps.
What's the story here?
I mean, I don't think fines work in these contexts.
Like, you know, we see it over and over and over again.
Fines don't seem to be forcing big tech companies to actually affect any change.
I mean, I think we need to look beyond fines, to be honest, but at least in principle, it's there.
I think it's interesting that the Parliament had actually recently been addressed by, as you mentioned, Jackie Fox, who is Nicole Coco Fox's mom.
And the legislation that was enacted in Ireland as a result of Nicole's death and campaigned so hard for by Jackie and so powerfully by Jackie is resulting in changes here in Ireland.
And I thought it was really interesting to hear about GardaΓ going into schools to teach kids about the legislation and about the danger of sharing intimate images and AI images as well.
Yeah.
