I heard one American calling into a radio show saying that she'd lost, I think, 28 pounds over the course of the last couple of months or a few months or maybe year.
Actually, the time period is important.
But anyway, it was in a relatively short period of time.
And she said that she wasn't someone who needed to lose weight, but she'd lost weight because she couldn't afford food.
She was talking about her benefits, essentially like her SNAP benefits.
And she said that under Joe Biden, she would have had $100 a month left to spend on food.
And what she gets now, she has $12 a month to spend on food.
People are really suffering in America from the changes that Donald Trump has made, which is one of the reasons his approval rating is suffering so much.
So when you've got people who are literally starving in your country, and then you hear that $900 billion is being spent on wars that you're not interested in, that's got to lead to frustration.
And also people need to remember that American people have war in their very recent consciousness.
There was the Gulf War.
there was Vietnam, there was obviously World War II, you know, the loss of life in those conflicts was significant.
And Americans remember that.
I think that they're not flahoolock for the most part about entering into new conflict, which could result in the loss of American life.
You know, despite the fact that obviously Americans are very patriotic and they are, you know, the attitude towards
veterans and service members is very positive and it is seen to be a very honorable career to be in the military.
I don't think they're casual about Americans dying in wars that don't feel justified.
It's interesting, I think that the involvement of Dubai kind of escalates things in terms of people's attitudes in countries like Ireland, because, you know, we do have apparently there's about 20,000 Irish people in Dubai.
And because people go on holidays to Dubai and people feel a connection to Dubai, it obviously makes it easier for people to access their kind of sympathy and fear in relation to what's going on.
And but yeah, I think it is really important to remember that every single one of these countries has citizens who are just trying to live their lives.
