I don't even know how to describe the emotions I felt when I found out that Oprah was coming to Ireland.
A mixed bag.
Like, I know that Oprah is problematic in a bajillion different ways.
But as a kid growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, she was an extremely important person in my life.
I loved her show, even though it was not for my interests.
age group and I just really admired her as a broadcaster and honestly like as I was always like in a bigger body even as a kid like to see a woman in a bigger body really succeeding and kind of at the helm of such a powerful media organization meant a lot to me so
even though I absolutely see the problems with Oprah, her wealth, the way she uses her wealth, various other kind of aspects, I still feel connected to her.
So when I read that she was coming, I was like, oh my God, how thrilling.
And then I read the context and I was like, what?
But yeah, so she is coming to- Yeah, I don't think she's a bad person.
So I've done a little bit of research.
This is part of a thing called the Pendulum Summit, which calls itself the world's number one business and leadership summit.
And they have had some big name guests previously.
I think it's like a networking event, essentially.
