Obviously, these episodes are just so weird now in the context of everything that's been going on.
But I am still enjoying them.
And this one was an absolute banger, to be honest.
There was so much going on.
Lindsay, I think we'll start with Lindsay.
Anytime Lindsay's on, it's good.
Like, you know, she's very annoying at times, but she is such good TV and she really knows what she's doing.
I think the chat about Sharon, Carl's mother, and for anybody who's not watching, Carl is Lindsay's ex-fiance of, they broke up two years ago, which obviously is in the episode.
And she had this interaction with Carl's mother at the launch of Softbar in the previous episode.
And Carl's mother went over and was friendly and kind to her.
And she did not receive it well as a result of the fact that she didn't feel supported by Sharon during the end of
her relationship with Carl and she talked about the fact that you know she and Sharon have been close for many years and obviously Lindsay has a lot of issues around the fact that she's essentially rejected by her mother which I really feel for her I mean I can't imagine what that would be like it would be really heartbreaking um you know like my own mother wasn't able to parent me um for anybody who doesn't know I was adopted by my aunt and uncle when I was eight moved in with them when I was seven because my mom was an alcoholic um
Um, she is sadly dead now.
Um, and like, yeah, I didn't get to live with her and that really broke my heart, but it wasn't because I doubted that she loved me.
Um, so I can't imagine what that feeling must be like.
It must be incredibly difficult.
and but anyway you know she was she was really upset and I can understand that these relationships that she has with other people's mothers are probably more intense because she does feel rejected by her own mother but at the end of the day Sharon is Carl's mother and that's the thing when you're with someone yeah their family becomes your family but ultimately they are your partner's family and they will always prioritize your partner or your ex and
And that's okay, I think.
Like, I remember when I was going through a breakup, God, this is a really long time ago now, like 20 years ago, more than 20 years ago.
I remember being really afraid to tell my parents that I was breaking up with my boyfriend at the time because they really liked him.
