One, a quote from Zoran Mamdani saying that,
The fashion industry is made possible by the thousands of workers behind the scenes, seamstresses, tailors, retail workers, delivery drivers whose immense talent and dedication deserves to be celebrated.
And then her second story is a link to, again, his post, which is a post that's called Work of Art and it's turning the lens on the workers who power fashion.
So basically it's this beautiful photo shoot
of garment workers who you know are gussied up to the nines and look absolutely beautiful and kind of highlighting their work which I think is was great and it was great to do that but so I saw Io post these things and I was like oh that's interesting that Io I said she must not be going she must be protesting um big which is a big deal because I believe that she did actually chair the Met Gala she was a co-chair of the Met Gala last year or the year before yeah and
And so anyway, I was then when I woke up this morning, I saw famously at the Met Gala, there's almost always like selfies from the mirror in the women's toilets that come out.
And there was one.
And there she was in at the Met Gala.
And she did go.
She went last night and she wore Matthew Blasey for Chanel.
She looked beautiful, but she hasn't posted about it at all.
So I'm kind of, I'd be very interested to know kind of how, how she's reckoning with it.
Like, because I do think that that's the challenge that we find ourselves in as well, because, you know, this, this, the Met Gala is an institution and it has been around for so long and it's so significant when it comes to fashion and culture.
Do we just let that go?
You know, because these people are on board, do we do we give it up?
Like, and then at what do we just end up giving up everything because everything is dominated and taken over by tech and tech money?
Or do we go on protest?
Do we enjoy as we are, you know, the outfits and acknowledge that, you know, there is this other story as well?
I'll find it, don't worry.
Yeah, I don't either.
