So I think they have to do less suggested conversations or structured conversations than some of the other shows do.
Because they literally live together, they do have real relationships.
And because many people end up in the show for years, those are relationships that are established over summers over the course of multiple years.
So at this stage in the game, you know, you're, we're really in rich, layered relationships, like
Two of the cast members, for example, were engaged and broke up and they're still there.
And actually, I've been really amused by Lindsay and Carl's interactions in this most recent series of Summer House where they're like, you know, trying to be civil, but Lindsay's still getting the digs in.
But I suppose the biggest story arcs of this season so far are Kyle and Amanda and West and Sierra.
If you don't watch, Kyle and Amanda are a couple who've been in it from the very beginning.
Amanda arrived in season two, but I think she did feature in season one, but she wasn't a castmate.
She did.
In season one, Amanda was someone who Kyle was sleeping with, basically.
And so she'd pop up from time to time.
Season two, she comes back.
She's Kyle's girlfriend.
He's decided to take it from booty call to actual relationship.
And then we see them together, we see them get engaged, and now we are seeing them disintegrate.
We knew before the season started to air that they had separated.
Amanda has definitely mentioned divorce in interviews, so I don't think there's any question of them getting back together.
But obviously, this season was filmed before any of that, so they're still together, but the relationship is in very dark territory.
And this week's episode, we really saw that, I think, more than ever before.
