My name is Lucy.

I'm a primary school teacher, just newly qualified.

I suppose it's very different in the Forest School.

They've a lot more independence to run around and explore their own interests, their curiosity.

Like in schools, in primary schools, it's...

Their interests are involved in some degree but I suppose here they have an idea or they have a thought, an interest and they can run with it and they can explore and they can learn and problem solve through that interest.

There is still structure to play in primary schools whereas in the forest schools they can explore how they wish, you know.

For me, it's always about the children anyway.

So it doesn't matter whether I'm in a classroom or in a forest.

Like, I just love interacting with children and helping them grow and learn.

And yeah.

For classroom teachers, it's all about planning and being prepared and being organised.

Whereas forest school... Yeah, no, agreed.
