You want to see all-time greats in any sport really finishing their careers on a high and still able to
do what they're they were used to be capable of the old magic right to the very end and unfortunately it quite rarely goes like that and i think that it was frustrating to see a driver of hamilton's caliber not able to get onto the podium struggling behind teammate charlotte clerk clearly not happy with how the car was feeling
And this year was always going to be a big test in terms of saying, was it just first year sort of adaptation?
Was it not liking the car style?
What was it?
And I think we've got some good answers in these first year races that, yeah, actually he does have some of that old spark.
He was able to beat Charles Leclerc in a direct fight in China, which I thought was a brilliant performance.
and uh yeah it does seem like we're getting some flickers of the old Lewis Hamilton and I'm not saying he's going to be dominating to win a world championship like he did with Mercedes but he's uh yeah got a bit of his old sort of spring in his step again which is really lovely to see and hopefully I think just for everyone in the sport that can continue through the rest this year because it's a
A big story, and again, like Max, we want to see our great champions performing at the very highest level.
oh i think um i think the monaco grand prix is just such a iconic event you think of f1 you think about those cars going around the harbor and the yachts the glitz the glamour the fine margins the drivers always have when they're going right up against the wall and i think that in a year where it looks like we've got one dominant team and perhaps a world championship being fought between just two drivers a race like monaco can throw a real curveball on things sometimes so uh
That's definitely one to watch.
But every race has got that something special now.
Miami this weekend, it's the first US race of the season.
So that'll bring, I think, an extra hype and excitement.
Canada, I think, is always a really exciting race and can throw up some surprises as well.
So, yeah, plenty to watch for, I think, in the coming weeks for F1.
And it's been a long break, but we're ready to get back to it now.
Yeah, I think F1 is basically going to keep monitoring how the ceasefire and the situation in the Middle East does start to unfold.
And already losing two races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which are two of the highest paying fee races of the year, that's already put a bit of a dent in terms of F1's revenue and therefore the prize money the teams receive as well.
to lose another two in the middle east would obviously be another dent again so i would imagine that if they weren't able to go ahead f1 probably would look for replacement races but i think right now it's just so far off and the situation is just so fluid and unclear it's quite hard to say but um
