The crime had been a cold case until his arrest.

And he eventually confessed to the assault after DNA evidence linked him.

How did that change your understanding of who he was and the crimes against you?

Because it seems that this behavior was going on for far longer than even the police had realized.

I mean, he's also currently being investigated for the rape and murder of another woman in the early 1990s, something which he denies and is continuing to be investigated.

I'm sure you must have been thinking about this for so long.

There was a moment that she wasn't speaking to you because she felt that you didn't support her fully.

And now that relationship seems to have been repaired.
