So really, it's a good time to have this diagnosis because of all the research and all of the
clinical trials and things that are happening.
But RP case by case is so different for each person.
So my RP is going to be different from somebody else's RP.
I know people that are younger than me that have never driven.
I know people that are 70 and still have some range of vision.
So I wish I could give you a clear prognosis.
I wish I had one myself.
But it really is kind of up in the air.
However, it is considered a blinding eye disease.
So we kind of have to operate with that may be the case.
You know, when I was first diagnosed, I was just in shock.
Nobody else in my family has this condition.
So I really had no information.
There was no resource that I knew of to go to.
And I really kind of went into denial for a long time.
I was genuinely just kind of sticking my head in the sand and not wanting to address it.
But I really think that monsters are scarier in the dark.
So the more that you learn, the more light that you can shed on it, the easier it becomes to kind of digest.
So I started doing as much research as I could.
