And growing up in LA in the 90s, post LA uprising, where black people have a voice, they're fighting for something, they're believing in something, they're saying something. I connected to that so much. So that, it's like how Boy Willie says, you know, I was born in a time of fire. It's like, I feel that too.

And so all of those things live in me. And I'm happy that my parents had such a pride in our culture, have such a respect for it and instilled that in us.
