soldiers, like, surrounded the Vatican embassy, like, trying to psychologically torture them, playing, like, Van Halen's Panama music.
on repeat to try to get them out of there.
Dude, it was nuts, you know what I mean?
But the Panama Defense Forces were so much weaker.
Like we said earlier, they're like security guards compared to the US government.
There is this great documentary, Barbara Trent directed it.
It won the best documentary at the Oscars in 1993 or 1992.
And it sort of focuses on the civilian aspect of the US invasion of Panama.
The US said that there were like 300 casualties on Panama's side.
In reality, it was like thousands, right?
It was like 3,000.
And there were stories of the US Army testing weapons out on the Panamanian people.
It was one giant test, right?
But they get Noriega.
Of course they do.
