But the other thing is the number of events per second and you're forgetting the body.
So if you're really bored, you're thinking, oh β
Gee, these shoes are uncomfortable.
And so your time stretches out.
Whereas you go to the other extreme where there's so much input coming in and that's one of the many psychological explanations of what's happening when time's going faster.
There was an experiment done where they pushed people off buildings to see if time went faster.
And what they had was a clock, a wristwatch, which they tuned so that the numbers would go fast, just a bit too fast.
They were a blur.
So they say, can you see the numbers?
Yeah, one, two, three.
They speed up until it was just a blur and then they jumped off this building in the Hollywood fashion where you land on a whole bunch of cardboard boxes.
So it was a severe fall.
It was like five metres but you weren't going to die and you weren't going to hit the water hard.
You were just going to come to a gentle crumple.
And during the fall they were supposed to look at their watches.
Did time go faster?
Could they see the individual numbers?
No, it was still a blur.
So the answer lies somewhere in psychology which means that we kind of know what's going on and it's the best thing that we've got but we don't really know and don't even think about time and space being reversed.
Unless you happen to be a professor in that field.
